Dr. Lin’s Journey
“I grew up in a low-income family with limited resources as a child. I was inspired to better my family by advancing my education and career after witnessing my parents' struggles. I followed my passion in nursing to help people while improving my family’s lives. Throughout my nursing education, I interacted with some nursing faculty members who obtained their degrees in the US. I was inspired by them to broaden my experience in healthcare. This experience led me to join a group of my classmates at Foo-yin Junior College to earn my BSN degree at Emory University. My journey in nursing continued as a graduate nurse while gaining work experience as an RN in the US. This opportunity allowed me to get my education paid for by the hospital’s tuition reimbursement program which I am still grateful for today. I want to support nursing students and practicing nurses with the dream of expanding their horizons abroad with my experience and passion.”
